This website has been set up to allow you, the residence of Coventry, the ability to list your services for free. This means you can list your service here whether you are the local well established shop, or a handyman just starting out – all are welcome as long as it is legal!
The job of this site is to bring all those services to one directory listing to allow you and I to find the service we are looking for in a centralised location. Whether you are looking for a Window Cleaner, an Electrician, Plumber, the local Hair Dressers or a Party Planner, you should be able to find what you are looking for here.
Why?
We all know that recent times have been tough, the economy has suffered, and people have lost jobs. This means that more and more people are turning to self-employment. With that in mind we should support each other and each others businesses. We have all been on social media in the past looking for recommendations for local tradesmen (and women) for various jobs we need doing, so why not cut out the searching through endless groups and list them all in one place!?
The Basic Idea
It’s pretty simple really; if you have a service to sell, you can list it here for free! If you are searching for a service, you should be able to find it here. All the services listed here should be local to Coventry. As time passes, the list of services listed here should grow and grow.
How do I List a Service?
I know most people detest having to create accounts on websites – another username and password to remember – but unfortunately it’s a must these days. We have tried to make it as painless as possible, but for your protection and ours there is a login system in place. Once an account is created, you can create listings, leave constructive feedback, rate the service you received, and most importantly you can message the service provider directly. We do not share personal data with third parties. Please feel free to read our Privacy Policy.
Note, you do not have to log in to browse the services, and the services listed should show contact details. So if you are just looking for a service, no account is required!
Ratings
As the site grows, the reputation of the services listed should grow with it. The site has a star rating system included so you as the customer can rate the service you receive. You can also write a review and/or leave comments. The benefits of which are clear for all to see – it should give you the confidence to know that when you, for example, ask a Nail Technician to turn up on time and do a professional job, that previous customers have rated them well and that you can trust them to do a good job! It also serves the businesses you rate and allows them to grow in reputation.
It’s also worth noting that if you do create an account, you can add listings to your favourites list. This obviously prevents having to search for the same service over and over, and allows you to build up your own little directory of services you use often. Very handy!
Can I Report a Service?
Again you need to log in to do this, but yes, if for some reason you feel that you need to report a service to us, then you can do that. Just remember that this may be someone’s livelihood and reporting them or commenting on them in any negative way could affect their reputation, and ultimately the amount of income they make. Please bear this in mind before reporting a service and/or leaving negative feedback. It is always worth talking to them to discuss your concerns before reporting them. We are all here to support each others efforts!
